Trophy hunting with Mogwadiri

Hunting is regarded as a well- founded,  in-grained human activity, as much part of human nature as the need for eating and drinking. At the same time, however, at Mogwadiri great emphasis is placed on ethical hunting at all times. While the bounty that Nature has to offer mankind can and should be harvested, Nature also demands to be protected and utilised within the boundaries of sustainability. Therefore, Nicola places a priority on the ethical and professional behaviour of all parties concerned before, during and after each hunting trip. To ensure the safety of his clients and assistant guides, where necessary, it is expected of hunters to respect and operate within the laws of the Republic of Namibia and to adhere to simple but important rules  governing the handling of live ammunition and weapons.  Every assistance will be given when and where necessary.

Trophy hunting is our speciality, and together with our team of professional hunters / guides, we will do our best to ensure that you will have an unforgettable experience.

Only professionally qualified  hunters and/or guides  will be utilised by Mogwadiri Hunting Safaris.  The latter is also registered under the Etosha Conservancy,  which, in essence, comprises more than 750 000 acres.

Bring on the passion to the next generation

We believe that it is important to pass on the lifestyle and passion of hunting to the next generation.

With parental approval, our professional hunters are willing to teach children how to handle a rifle safely. We invite children to join the hunts and, if appropriate, also hunt their own trophies.

Travelling with firearms to Namibia:

Take out full insurance for all firearms before travelling to Africa.

NAPHA (Namibian Professional Hunters´ Association) recommends flying directly to Namibia from Europe. This will minimize delays associated with firearm transport.

It is suggested that you adhere to the following procedure to minimize problems when travelling with firearms:

  •  All bags need to be adequately marked with name tags for identification
  •  Pack an unloaded rifle in a sturdy carry case
  •  Store your ammunition and rifles separately in a lockable container.
  •  At the check-in counter at the point of departure, insist that the agent check your firearm through to Hosea Kutako International Airport, Windhoek Namibia.

Requirements for importing firearms:

You are allowed to enter the country with 80 rounds of ammunition.

To bring a rifle into Namibia you need to submit an application upon arrival at Hosea Kutako International Airport.

To save yourself time and trouble when arriving, we recommend that you fill in the application before departure and bring it along in your hand luggage.
